10 Lessons To Be Learned; (The Transformation Of A Prostitute Into A Woman Of Faith).
Behold '10 Lessons To Be Learned,' (The Transformation Of A Prostitute Into A Woman Of Faith). One of the biblical characters renowned for her faith and bravery is Rahab. During the time of Joshua's conquest, she was a prostitute who lived in the city of Jericho. The story of Rahab was first told in the book of Joshua and then appeared in various places in the New Testament.
After the Hebrew army arrived at their camp in the Jordan Valley and was getting ready to cross the river, Joshua made one last move. He sent two spies to Jericho to investigate its military might. The two spies found refuge in Rahab's home, which was carved into the city wall. The men who were sent to catch the spies requested Rahab to bring them outside. Instead, she concealed them beneath flax bundles on the roof to keep them from being slaughtered.
Rehab tells the two spies, "Treat my family well, as I have treated you." Give me a firm guarantee that you will save the lives of my parents, brothers, sisters, and all of their relatives while preventing the deaths of myself and my family. Read (Joshua 2:9-13).
Even though Rehab is no longer on this planet, there is still a great deal we can learn from her experience and apply to inspire us in our daily lives. I've selected a few life lessons with biblical references that you can use in your own life. May you be blessed as you read on.
1) God Had A Plan For Everyone Regardless Of Their Past; Whatever your past says, Jesus came to this planet because of it. There is hope for you, regardless of your birthplace or your sinful marital arrangements. The Bible's account of Rahab gave us the impression that God had plans for everyone, regardless of their circumstances in the past. Read (Jeremiah 29:1).
2) God Often Works Through The Seemingly; Rahab serves as a reminder that God accepts everyone regardless of their origin. Read (1Kings 17:6).
3) The Fear Of God Brings Forth Repentance And Faith; Rahab had faith in God's promises even though she was not an Israelite. Rehab, you were a beautiful character in Jericho. What a wonderful way to transition from darkness to light. Read ( 2 Corinthians 7:10).
4) One Person's Encounter Provides Relief For The Entire Family; Rahab urged the spies to take an oath that the safety God had promised would also cover her and her family. All of a family's members are saved and delivered by the faith of one woman. Read (Romans 5:19). Support Us
5) A Risk Taken For God Is What Real Faith Is; Rahab did it! She risked her life to provide safety for the two spies. She put her trust in God and defend God's people despite the risk. Read (Hebrews 11:6).
6) Be Steadfast Because God Has Your Back; Regardless Of Who Owns The Vision Of The Organization You Are Working For. Rehab was a foreigner, she didn't need to be familiar with Joshua when he succeeded Moses as commander of the Israelites, nevertheless she believed in the vision of Joshua to take over Jericho. Rahab serves as a lesson that no one is unimportant to God and that God takes special concern for strangers. Read (Luke 16:10-15).
7) Except For The Sin Of Doubt And Unbelief; God's Love Knows No Bounds; Rahab was ultimately rewarded for her faith and bravery. She eventually became one of Jesus' ancestors after getting married to an Israelite. Read (1 John 4:7-8).
8)Faith Without Works Is Dead; Because to her deed of kindness and faith, Rehab became a Believer. This is a resounding affirmation that faith without works is dead. Read (James 2:26).
9) Always Tell The Truth, No Matter How Uncomfortable It Might Make You Feel; That Is One Important Lesson To Learn From Rehab; I know that the LORD has granted you this land and that a great fear of you has descended upon us, such that those who dwell in this country are melting in fear because of you guys, Rahab remarked to the spies. Read (John 8:32).
10) Long-term Gains Outweigh Short-term Gains; Many businesspeople need to take note of this. If Rehab had turned the two spies over to her government, she might have received compensation and even the national recognition. But she turned down the short-term gains in favor of long-term rewards. Read (James 2:25, Hebrews 12:2).
